Senior Data Scientist, Product

RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile. We're in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue. We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. This isn't the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading. The role We are looking for a Senior Product Data Scientist who is deeply product-minded and highly proactive. This is not a role for someone who waits for perfectly defined questions or works in isolation. We are looking for someone who actively looks at our data, understands our customers’ pain points, identifies opportunities, and pushes ideas forward. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to shape what we build, why we build it, and how we measure success. Your work will directly power customer-facing features such as LTV prediction, experimentation and statistical significance, benchmarking, and entirely new data-driven products we have not built yet. You will be expected to bring ideas to the table, backed by analysis and clear hypotheses, and to influence product direction through data. Our data stack includes a Python backend, PostgreSQL production databases, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS. What you will do Proactively explore RevenueCat’s data to identify customer problems, opportunities, and product bets. Translate ambiguous product and business problems and questions into clear analyses, models, and recommendations. Partner with Product Managers to shape roadmaps, not just execute on them. Design, build, and ship production-grade predictive and descriptive models that power customer-facing features. Define and evaluate statistical approaches for experimentation, benchmarking, and forecasting. Communicate insights clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on customer impact. Continuously iterate on shipped models and features based on real-world usage and feedback. This role has real ownership. You will not just support decisions, you will help drive them. About you You are a Senior Data Scientist who cares deeply about impact and product outcomes. From a skills perspective, you bring: 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist. Strong SQL skills and comfort with data modeling. Experience building and deploying predictive and descriptive models in production. Experience writing or collaborating on production-ready Python code. A solid understanding of statistics and experimentation, ideally including Bayesian approaches. The ability to clearly explain complex ideas and results to broad audiences. You recognize yourself in several of these: You are highly proactive and opinionated, and you are comfortable pushing ideas forward. You enjoy working with messy, real-world data and imperfect information. You care more about creating customer value than academic elegance. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists. You enjoy working closely with Product teams and influencing decisions. You are excited by the consumer subscription ecosystem and curious about how developers make money. What success looks like In the first month, you'll: Understand our data models. Get to know the team. Ramp up on the ongoing data feature work. Implement and ship your first project. Within the first 3 months, you'll: Meaningfully contribute to shipping a data feature to thousands of developers. Learn the basics of incident response, and be part of the on-call rotation. Work with our Product, Analytics and Engineering teams to improve our data pipelines for data science features. Launch your own explorations into our data to fulfill your own curiosity. Within the first 6 months, you'll: Own one or more core data-powered features end to end. Influence the data feature roadmap with clear, data-backed proposals. Be a go-to partner for product teams on data-driven decision making. Within the first 12 months, you'll: Propose and lead entirely new data-driven product initiatives. Push the boundaries of how RevenueCat uses data to help developers grow revenue. Help shape how data science operates at RevenueCat as the function grows. What we offer: Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator 10-year window to exercise vested equity options A fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility 4-5 weeks of flexible time off annually Paid desk at a co-working space Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend Interviewing at RevenueCat Our interview process is rigorous on purpose. We want to be sure that everyone we bring on is genuinely excited about this work, aligned with how we operate, and ready to meet our high bar for performance. Curious what that actually looks like? Senior Software Engineer, Product

You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading. The Role We’re looking for a Product oriented Fullstack Engineer to design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users. We’re specifically looking for someone with a strong backend foundation who is also genuinely proficient in React. This is a hands-on IC role. We are looking for someone product-focused, but deeply technical. You’ll work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries, making thoughtful tradeoffs to deliver reliable, high-quality systems. You’ll take ownership from problem definition through production rollout and long-term maintenance, the scoping and prioritization work as much as the code. “Product-focused” at RevenueCat means pairing strong engineering fundamentals with good judgment, customer obsession, and a bias toward shipping — not trading correctness, reliability, or scalability for speed, but also not letting “perfect” get in the way of “shipped today.” About You You have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend foundation and a track record of building and operating high-scale production systems. You can write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE statements. You’re proficient in React and have genuinely built on the frontend before. You’re comfortable owning UI work, not just backend APIs. You have solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals, and an understanding of HTTP and browser–server interactions You hold a high bar for quality and instinctively know which details matter, but also are discerning enough to cut scope when needed while still delivering value. You’re customer-obsessed: you imagine yourself as the developer, product manager, or marketer using the feature or experiencing the issue. You’re a builder, not an implementer: scoping, prioritizing, and driving rollout in partnership with our Product team. This isn’t a role where you check off items from a detailed specification. You can quickly familiarize yourself with code you didn't write yourself and improve it. You're comfortable coding alongside AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code. You use them to move faster on the parts that don't need your full attention, and you're detail-oriented enough to catch when they're wrong. You’re scrappy and biased toward shipping. You’d rather ship a good version today and iterate than wait to ship a perfect one next quarter. You communicate clearly, both in real-time and asynchronously. We’re a fully remote team, and how you write is as important as how you code. You’ve shipped meaningful user-facing features to production, monitored their usage and adoption, and improved them over time. You write high-quality, well-tested code, debug issues methodically, and help raise the engineering bar through thoughtful feedback and mentorship. You act like an founder:: you notice problems, propose improvements, and follow through fast. Technologies you’ll likely work with: TypeScript React PostgreSQL Python Flask AWS-hosted systems, following best practices for deployment, monitoring, and reliability A note: Our interview process includes two separate live-coding sessions: one on frontend fundamentals and one on SQL, data logic, and algorithmic programming. We've found strength in both is a strong predictor of success in this role. In the first month, you’ll: Meet frequently with your team and manager to get up to speed. Get familiar with our tools, processes, and core subscription-business concepts. Complete a First Ship project. Jump in early: fix bugs, ship small improvements, and weigh in on PRs. Within the first 3 months, you’ll: Have shipped a medium-sized project successfully. Understand the main product areas your team owns and how they work end to end. Scope and work on projects self-sufficiently, from idea to post-launch improvements. Actively participate in code reviews, bug bashes, and technical discussions. Continuously improve areas of your team’s codebase and product. Within the first 6 months, you’ll: Become the go-to engineer for certain focus areas. Proactively contribute to architecture discussions that impact more than just your team. Debug issues across frontend, backend, and data; communicate clearly during incidents; drive fixes that prevent repeats. Engage directly with customers to understand how your work actually lands. Mentor other engineers joining the team and raise the bar through feedback and guidance. Within the first 12 months, you’ll: Know all the major components of our system and be able to debug complex issues across it. Spec and architect large projects, gather feedback, and drive design validation and rollout plans. Lead your own initiatives for improving our product and systems, grounded in real customer and business priorities. Senior Product Manager, Funnels/Workflow

RevenueCat removes the headaches of building and scaling in‑app subscriptions. Since graduating from YC’s S18 batch we’ve grown into the default monetization platform for mobile: we’re in >40% of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $12B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo dev in Brazil to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue. We’re a remote‑first crew of 150+, spread across 25+ countries, and guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. If you want your work to touch hundreds of millions of end‑users (and help the developers behind them get paid), you’ll fit right in. The Role We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy for our Funnels and Workflows products. We need a producty-engineer or an engineering-y product manager to lead the product vision in a highly technical, experimentation-driven domain where UX choices, growth tactics, and analytics all compound. RevenueCat is the monetization engine for 40% of the new subscription apps shipped. For most of those apps, Workflows and Funnels will be the products that actually do the monetizing: automating paywall decisions, running win-back and lifecycle campaigns, and turning web traffic into paying subscribers. We can, and should, be opinionated about what RevenueCat’s developers should try next to help them make more money. We’re building the “Make More Money Machine”. You'll lead two of RevenueCat's highest-leverage growth surfaces. Workflows will be the orchestration engine that lets developers trigger paywalls, win-back offers, and lifecycle campaigns based on real subscriber behavior. Funnels is our web2app product that turns web traffic into paying mobile subscribers, opening up an entirely new acquisition channel for our customers. You'll partner directly with leadership, collaborate across engineering and data teams, and act as the primary driver for how our customers convert, retain, and grow their subscriber base. What You'll Do Own the product strategy and roadmap for RevenueCat's new Workflows and Funnels products. Be obsessed with your customers. Speak to prospective customers to understand their use cases deeply, and identify the feature gaps blocking adoption. Coordinate with existing customers to unblock them and help them earn more money. Triage and investigate problems proactively, instead of fully delegating to engineering. Dig into what growth teams actually want and the challenges they face, and understand why these products are a crucial instrument in any modern app's growth toolkit. Recommend, develop, and maintain new features that deliver value that truly matters, enabling customers to easily spin up compelling experiences, understand the results, and iterate quickly. Set the vision. Create a plan that is cohesive, intentional, and impactful. Break it down into meaningful chunks on a reasonable timeline. Get it done. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and GTM teams to bring these growth tools to market. This job cannot be done alone, and will require deep understanding of the individual products and the infrastructure that connects them. About you: You have 5+ years of product management or technical product engineering experience or analytics experience, with meaningful time growing mobile apps. You’re analytical. You can’t do your job without data platform access. You are highly proficient in SQL (or similar tools) — whatever tool you need to know, you’ll learn. You love getting deep on the data analysis on your own. You’re experienced in developing robust and scalable metrics. You are technical. Coding is not a core requirement for this role, being able to prototype with code is (using your preferred AI stack). You can deeply understand how RevenueCat works — what is simple and what is complex within our domain. Maybe you haven’t built and shipped a mobile app yourself (yet) but you have enough knowledge to work closely and independently with highly technical folks. You can discuss APIs, data models, and risk logic with engineering partners and enjoy diving into system details You’re an excellent communicator. You can express complex ideas clearly and succinctly — written and verbal, synchronous and asynchronous, across timezones and mediums. You can get your point across. What we offer: Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator 10-year window to exercise vested equity options Fully remote and flexible work environment 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning Curious about the interview process? Senior Product Manager, User Acquisition

The Role As Senior Product Manager, User Acquisition, you'll explore an important extension of how RevenueCat helps developers grow: helping them not just monetize the users they have, but acquire more of the right users in the first place. RevenueCat already has several footholds in user acquisition, including our Apple Ads integration and integrations across the attribution and MMP ecosystem. But we're still early in defining what a broader RevenueCat user acquisition product should become. You'll be the first dedicated product hire focused on this space, reporting directly to our product lead for Ads, with significant latitude to shape both the strategy and the products we build. This is a genuine zero-to-one role. You won't inherit a predetermined roadmap. Your job will be to deeply understand how app developers acquire users today, identify where RevenueCat has an opportunity to solve problems meaningfully better, and turn those insights into products we can test, ship, and scale. You'll bring real expertise in mobile performance marketing and user acquisition to that process. The opportunity could eventually span attribution and measurement, products built on top of existing acquisition channels, new ways to optimize spend using downstream monetization data, partnerships, advertising infrastructure, or things we haven't considered yet. We have hypotheses, but we're hiring you in part because we want your perspective on which ones are worth pursuing. RevenueCat has some unusual advantages to build from: relationships with a large ecosystem of app developers, deep visibility into subscription and monetization outcomes, infrastructure already embedded in apps, and a growing advertising business. The challenge is figuring out how those assets can translate into something uniquely valuable for developers trying to grow. About you: You have 5+ years of experience owning meaningful product or growth decisions end-to-end. Your title may have been Product Manager, founder, growth leader, or something else — what's important is that you've been accountable for deciding what to build and whether it worked. You have deep, hands-on experience with mobile user acquisition—either directly managing and optimizing acquisition for mobile apps, or building products and infrastructure used by mobile acquisition teams. You understand how app developers actually acquire users, measure performance, and make decisions about where to spend their next dollar. You understand the modern mobile acquisition stack, including MMPs and attribution, Apple Ads, Meta and Google advertising products, conversion APIs, and related measurement infrastructure. You can reason clearly about attribution, performance-marketing economics, and privacy. You understand concepts such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, optimization signals, ATT, SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit, consent management, and how downstream behavior should influence acquisition decisions. You thrive in zero-to-one environments. You can take a large, ambiguous opportunity, identify the most important unanswered questions, narrow it into product bets, and find pragmatic ways to test those bets before making large investments. You are sufficiently technical to work closely with engineering on integrations, APIs, SDKs, data flows, identity, attribution, and other technical product decisions. You communicate clearly across different audiences and media, particularly in writing. In the first month, you'll: Spend significant time with developers understanding how they acquire users today, how they evaluate acquisition performance, and where the process is painful, expensive, fragmented, or opaque. Build a deep understanding of RevenueCat's existing acquisition-related products, integrations, data, customer research, and technical capabilities. Build strong working relationships with engineering, design, data, go-to-market, and other product teams whose work intersects with user acquisition. Develop a clear picture of the acquisition ecosystem, the problems RevenueCat is particularly well positioned to solve, and the biggest assumptions we still need to test. Begin forming your own point of view on where RevenueCat could create differentiated value in user acquisition. Within the first 3 months, you'll: Have narrowed the broad user acquisition opportunity into a small number of concrete product hypotheses, grounded in customer research, market understanding, and RevenueCat's unique advantages. Have a clear recommendation for where we should focus first — and why. Begin validating that direction through prototypes, design partners, technical exploration, lightweight product experiments, or an initial shippable bet. Establish a learning agenda that makes the biggest risks and unanswered questions explicit, and gives us a fast path to increasing or decreasing our conviction. Align senior stakeholders around what we're testing, what we're not pursuing yet, and what evidence would cause us to change direction. Within the first 6 months, you'll: Have shipped our first substantive user acquisition product bet, or generated enough evidence to decisively change or stop it before making a larger investment. Have real evidence from the market about where RevenueCat can — and cannot — create differentiated value. Be independently driving product discovery, prioritization, and execution for the user acquisition area. Have developed an evidence-backed point of view on the most promising opportunities in the space and what capabilities RevenueCat would need to pursue them. Have turned a broad strategic opportunity into an increasingly focused product direction. Within the first 12 months, you'll: Have established a clear strategic direction for RevenueCat in user acquisition, supported by customer behavior and product evidence rather than thesis alone. Have shipped meaningful products or experiments that either created measurable value for developers or materially changed our understanding of the opportunity—including changing or killing bets when the evidence didn’t support them. Have a credible longer-term roadmap for turning the strongest early signals into a meaningful RevenueCat product area. Be the primary IC product owner for User Acquisition and the internal domain expert on how app developers acquire, measure, and optimize users. Have helped define how RevenueCat's monetization data, developer footprint, and advertising capabilities can work together to create a differentiated position in app growth. The Role As Senior Product Manager, Ad Monetization, you'll join a small product and engineering team building RevenueCat's next generation of monetization products for app developers. Ads at RevenueCat are early, but we’re no longer starting from zero. We’ve launched ad revenue tracking and rewarded-ad infrastructure, with strong early adoption. Our next chapter is helping developers earn more from ads: building products that connect publisher inventory with demand, improve monetization performance, and make ad monetization easier to adopt and operate. You'll report to our product lead for Ads and become the primary IC product owner for ad monetization. You'll own significant parts of the roadmap end-to-end: understanding customer problems, identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, working closely with engineering and design, shipping quickly, and using what we learn to determine what comes next. This is still a fast-moving initiative with significant strategic latitude. We're specifically looking for someone who has built ad monetization products for mobile apps, ideally at a mediation platform, ad network, SSP, or similar company serving app publishers. You should already understand the ecosystem well enough to contribute a strong point of view while remaining willing to challenge your assumptions as we learn. About you: You have 5+ years of experience owning product decisions end-to-end. Your title may have been Product Manager, founder, or something else — what's important is that you've been accountable for deciding what to build and whether it worked. You've built and shipped publisher-facing ad monetization products for mobile apps, and have firsthand experience solving the product, technical, and business problems involved in helping developers monetize ad inventory. You deeply understand the mechanics of mobile ad monetization, including how publisher inventory, demand sources, auctions, pricing, mediation, and measurement interact. You understand the incentives of the different participants in the ad ecosystem and can reason about both the technical and commercial implications of product decisions. You are excited about RevenueCat's mission to help developers make more money and about expanding that mission beyond subscriptions. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excited to take an initiative with early traction and help turn it into a significant product area. You are sufficiently technical to work closely with engineering on SDKs, APIs, integrations, data flows, and other technical product decisions. You have demonstrated the ability to ship and learn quickly, including finding pragmatic solutions to hard problems with many constraints. You are comfortable operating with ambiguity, making decisions under uncertainty, and taking responsibility for the outcomes of those decisions. You communicate clearly across different audiences and media, particularly in writing. In the first month, you'll: Build a deep understanding of what's live today, including ad revenue tracking, rewarded-ad infrastructure, and virtual currency and entitlement flows. Spend significant time talking with customers using these products to understand what's working, what isn't, and where the biggest opportunities may be. Build strong working relationships with your engineering, product, design, data, and go-to-market counterparts. Develop context on our existing strategy, customer research, technical architecture and the hypotheses behind our current roadmap. Begin contributing your own perspective on where RevenueCat should invest next. Within the first 3 months, you'll: Take ownership of a meaningful portion of the ad monetization roadmap. Work closely with engineering to identify the fastest and most effective ways to validate our next set of product hypotheses. Ship or meaningfully advance your first product bets. Establish a strong understanding of the opportunities, constraints, and tradeoffs that should shape our roadmap. Effectively collaborate with senior stakeholders on priorities for the area. Within the first 6 months, you'll: Independently drive product discovery, prioritization, and execution across your areas of the ad monetization roadmap. Have shipped meaningful improvements for customers and developed clear signals about what we should invest in next. Have a documented point of view on where RevenueCat should be headed in ad monetization over the longer term and what capabilities we'll need to get there. Have materially improved RevenueCat's understanding of the ad monetization vendor ecosystem, customer needs, competitive landscape, and relevant industry trends. Be recognized internally as a domain expert who can help the broader company reason about advertising and monetization. Within the first 12 months, you'll: Be the primary IC product owner for RevenueCat's ad monetization products. Have shipped products that create measurable monetization value for our customers and establish a meaningful new growth opportunity for RevenueCat. Have a credible, evidence-backed view of RevenueCat's longer-term opportunity in ad monetization and a roadmap for pursuing it. Have shipped enough meaningful bets that you've also stopped, changed, or deprioritized something when the evidence showed it wasn't delivering the value we expected. The Role As a Senior Product Designer at RevenueCat, you’ll own complex product problems from discovery through production. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to understand customers, identify opportunities, shape what we build and why, and turn technically complex workflows into simple, polished experiences for developers. You’ll join a small design team with a high bar for interaction and visual craft. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, talks directly to customers, prototypes and iterates quickly, and stays involved until the work is shipped and working well in production. About you You have a strong track record solving complex product problems in B2B, SaaS, developer tools, or similarly complex environments. You can frame ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, make sound trade-offs, and help shape what gets built and why. You design clear, intuitive workflows and think carefully about information architecture, states, edge cases, errors, and interactions. You have a high visual craft bar and care deeply about hierarchy, typography, spacing, composition, and polish. You stay close to customers, using direct conversations and qualitative and quantitative evidence to inform your decisions. You work closely with Product and Engineering, involve partners early, reduce scope intelligently, and stay engaged through implementation and follow-up. You communicate clearly in a remote, asynchronous environment and take ownership beyond the boundaries of a design handoff. You understand technical constraints well enough to make realistic decisions and are comfortable using prototypes, code, or modern AI tools when they help you learn or move faster. You are excited about our mission to help developers make more money. In the first month, you'll Get to know our product, customers, and teams. Familiarize yourself with our design system and visual language. Talk to some customers to understand their needs. Start engaging in discovery and design for your first meaningful project. Within the first 3 months, you'll Have taken full ownership of all design aspects for your cross-functional product team. Have seen the first project shipped that you worked on from ideation to launch. Work with your team to discover opportunities and solutions to deliver value to our customers. Within the first 6 months, you'll Be an integral product partner within your cross-functional team, helping shape priorities and product direction. Raise the bar for interaction and visual craft within your area while contributing patterns and improvements that benefit the broader product. Contribute to the development of the design practice at RevenueCat through critique, shared patterns, and collaboration with the rest of the design team. Within the first 12 months, you'll Have shipped meaningful product improvements end to end, from identifying the opportunity through implementation and iteration. Help improve reusable patterns, systems, and ways of working that make the design team more effective without adding unnecessary process. Be a strong advocate for customer understanding, product quality, and thoughtful design across RevenueCat.
